When you find that people are nincompoops....

...what do you do about it?

Do you let them just go on with their nincompoopness, leaving them to their own devices, or do you try to intervene and be the voice of rationality, suggesting that perhaps there are some other alternatives before they go to the very major extreme of a decision.....

I find being the voice of reason is sometimes pointless. They can't hear it or don't want to hear it. They just want to be in their nincompoop land, where their behavior is just fine, thank you very much. Who cares that there are 900 solutions to any one issue, you go on with the one you've hit upon and live happily ever after....
