...but it has to and you are sad about it, but trying to be all Pema Chödron about it and move on with your life, only holding on a little to it...
Alas, the Bahamas trip has come and gone. Just about every moment of it was fantabulous. We explored downtown Nassau, sat on the beach and read, did yoga, went sea kayaking, took a sunfish out into the aquamarine caribbean waters, went to another island to see Atlantis and the massive aquarium, had a hilarious ferry ride, drank what we think were pina coladas - they had these machines in the hotel that you just pulled the level and it filled your cup - self serve, with alcohol next to it to add in at your own discretion, ate at all the restaurants and just all around enjoyed ourselves. There was entertainment every night - kareoke, a cover band - the hotel never slept. They literally had activities 24 hours a day - rock wall climbing, trapeze workshops, bingo, merengue lessons, late night craziness at the Hurricane Bar etc.
It is always a relief to discover you travel well with someone. We had not a moment of bickering, arguing or otherwise being cross, we just enjoyed ourselves and each other's company immensely. We talked about everything and nothing over the 4 days, made some plans, hypothesized about life and chilled out. There were so many neat moments that we agreed it will be hard to top this trip in our future. I can hardly wait until our next adventure!
